Don Smith

Don Smith, Community Relations and Education for The Elderlaw Firm. Don brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to our community outreach programs including professional and civic talks, special event participation, and working with financial, medical and care professionals to better serve residents of the Piedmont Triad for Elder Law. Don has previously owned his own advertising and marketing agencies. In his consulting practice, he focused on helping lawyers, CPAs and other professionals do a better job of connecting with their clients. His agency also coordinated special events and promotions for the apparel industry, some where he worked with celebrities such as Willie Nelson and the late Dale Earnhardt.

As an only child, Don also provided for his mother's care through her later years, including assisted living and nursing home care. He is committed to helping our clients understand that they never want to be out of money and out of options at one of the most frail and vulnerable times of their lives. Don is active in many retirement living and senior organizations, and an active member of his church.

Don has lived in Greensboro since 1973. He and his wife, Peggy, both work for The Elderlaw Firm, and they have four children and seven grandchildren.
