Peggy Noell Smith

Peggy Noell Smith is the Director of Community Relations and Education at The Elderlaw Firm. A cum laude graduate of West Chester State University in West Chester, PA., Peggy is proud to have been born and raised in North Carolina (Shelby and Greensboro). She has broad executive business experience, after owning several businesses including a computer consulting firm, and then serving as Executive Director of a national non profit trade association for computer consultant businesses.

Peggy's interest in elder law stems in part from her own experiences in helping to care for her parents in Greensboro. While caring for and advocating for her mother first at home and then in a care community, Peggy began with The Elderlaw Firm in 2004. In her role of arranging workshops and providing education through community, civic, professional and church groups, Peggy regularly represents The Elderlaw Firm at senior events and organizations such as the Triad Retirement Living Association.

When you talk with Peggy, you will quickly discover her energy and passion for helping others and overcoming the challenges faced by so many seniors. Peggy is always glad to talk with management and staff at retirement communities, nursing homes, as well as caseworkers and social workers about Elder Law issues of concern to their residents and patients. Peggy and her husband Don are long time residents of Greensboro and are very proud of their seven grandchildren. They are also enthusiastic fans of Carolina Panthers football.
