Anne Harris is an experienced elder law attorney who joined The Elderlaw Firm in September 2018 with a mission to help seniors access and pay for the care they need. For over 25 years, she has been representing people who are injured and disabled from work related injuries. She has been certified as a Superior Court mediator for the last 19 years by the North Carolina Dispute Resolution Commission. She has received additional training and certification to mediate guardianship and estate matters before the Clerk of Superior Court.
Anne’s goal at The Elderlaw Firm is to help people protect their family’s inheritance, continue their independence, and maintain their financial and healthcare autonomy during their golden years.
Anne is a member of several statewide and national organizations for advocates in disability and elder law, including the North Carolina Advocates for Justice, the North Carolina Bar Association (Workers’ Compensation and Elder Law Sections), National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA) and its North Carolina State Chapter, to name a few.
She enjoys getting to know clients and establishing long-term relationships where clients feel completely comfortable calling her and seeking advice as they work through all of life’s transitions. When she’s not in the office, Anne enjoys hiking in the mountains and spending time with her family and friends. She’s also a music and dog lover, and says she’s never met a dog that she didn’t love.
