You know, it varies. Depending on the level of care, of course, that will determine the type of care that’s needed.
If somebody’s not living at home and they need care outside of the home, generally it’s going to be in either the assisted living or the nursing home. Now, an assisted living is going to cost somewhere between $3500-$5500 a month, perhaps a bit more depending on the type of care that’s needed.
A nursing home is generally going to be between $6500 – $7500 a month, and of course, it’s a higher level of care in the nursing home.
And in that situation, the question is going to be “How long can you pay for that without going broke?”
