VA Aid and Attendance Resource Center

Help may be available for costs of home care or a care facility, for veterans who served during a wartime period and their surviving spouses. Through the Veteran Administration’s pension pension benefit called Aid and Attendance, these veterans and surviving spouses can get a monthly check depending on their income and assets.  This program does not require a service connected disability, and it can make the difference between being able to get care at home or going broke in a care facility. There are also other programs that can be of assistance to a veteran.
